When you suffer, I do, too…

Do you have a friend who is an addict? That hurts you repeatedly yet clings to you desperately? They are the best people sober…attractive, hillarious, beautiful…. and so wicked under the influence…

I love my addict friend. I really do. I have struggled to show her Jesus now for almost 3 years. I think I have succeeded in that maybe 51% of the time… The abuse, the danger, the betrayal, and the lies over the years have made it hard for me to trust and forgive her, but I know that there is another level of spiritual forces at work. I have seen them manifest in tangible ways, and I try to combat them the best I know how. I know the battle rages over her soul, and I know that Jesus is pursuing her desperately, and because of this, so must I. She has come so far and grown so much…I am proud of her.

Okay, Lors, it looks like Lady in the Water opens July 21st. Are you still going to be here? If so, I’ll request off for that evening.

The girl who plays the Narf (lady) is the same one who played Ivy in The Village. Happy sweetness.

We have a picture book in our store by M. Night Shyamalan that explains the mythology behind the movie. It’s being called “a bedtime story”. It’s far freakier than anything I would want to read to a child, but I feel a compulsion to buy it.
